Summer Salad!

Assalamualaikum!

So i haven't posted here for awhile now!
I'm back in Montreal with classes,readings,get-togethers and other things!Life is good!Alhamdulillah!
A while back in Malaysia,I was watching a Nigella Lawson's show on TV and she made this GLORIOUS WATERMELON,FETA AND BLACK OLIVE SALAD!MY OH MY!

So what did i do?I made it of course but i changed a few things in the recipe.Here is the recipe,


Watermelon, Feta And Parsley Salad


1/2 - 1 lemon (depending on its juicyness)
1 small red onion
0.5 kg sweet, ripe watermelon
250g feta cheese
Bunch fresh flat-leaf parsley
3-4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Salt
Black pepper


  1. Chop the onions.
  2. In a bowl,mix the chopped onions with lemon juice.Set aside
  3. Chop the parsley and cut the watermelon into smaller pieces.
  4. Throw everything in a big bowl and mix!

Things you'll need
Chopped onion

Onion soaked in lemon juice

Watermelon and flat leafed parsley
Add the feta

First and foremost, feta cheese is very,very salty.For this recipe,I think it would be better to buy the ones immersed in olive oil.For every bite of feta cheese,i have to make sure that i eat it with either the greens or the watermelon.Its THAT salty!
I wanted to put olives in my salad,but i forgot to buy it.Oh well..
Adding some croutons would definitely make it taste good too!Othe juicy melons would taste well in it i suppose.
Like my mum,I don't really like mint in anything else except my toothpaste.So that's one of the reason why i omitted the mint leaves.=)
OHHH!A tip i learned from Rachael Ray is that,if its hard to squeeze the lemon,try putting the lemon in the microwave for ten seconds! 

BUT STILL!IT'S DELISH!
I really do need to beat myself up for eating junk foods these couple of days!I need to eat healthily again!Ayayayay!Zordon!(power rangers!)

Funny thing.Poor Feta!
