Bread in Cream

Assalamualaikum!

I havent blogged for 2 months. Sorry for the hiatus! The wedding was a blast.Everyone was so cute!Teehee. And now we have Ramadhan! Its a month of moderation but thankfulness. So whats new?I have another blog called Anggerik's Classics.I love skirts!Ho yeah.I'm done with 3 skirts alhamdulillah..another 5 to 7 ish more things to sew.boy oh boy! Then i'm also taking French Classes at the moment.Fun, but its extremly hard to pronounce the words.Apparently the teacher said i/we prnounced the word faux differently everytime.teehee.Beats me.They have gazillion letters in aword but pronounce only half of them.Oh well..

So i made bread pudding weeks ago.Last Eid, my friend made this really creamy bread pudding. She used baguette instead of normal bread.ITS SOOO GOOD!I tried looking for the recipe but i simply can't find it but i stumbled upon this one recipe. Its a fruits bread pudding or something but i omitted the fruits completely.=)

Bread Pudding and Custard Sauce
7 slices of bread cut into small pieces

4 large eggs
3/4 granulated white sugar
4 tablespoon of butter
4 cups of milk
a dash of cinnamon and vanilla

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degree Fahrenheit
  2. Butter or spray the baking dish with oil

Custard
Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar on high until its thick
Add the cinnamon and vanilla extract
Beat in the milk

How to assemble the bread pudding
Arrange the bread in the baking dish and pour the melted butter on the bread. Then, pour in the custard slowly.Make sure each and every one of the bread is covered in custard.Keep the extra custard aside.

This bread pudding is baked in a water bath.Put the baking dish in A BIGGER baking dish and pour in boiled water in the cavities between the two baking dishes and put them in the oven.Bake the baby for about an hour.(Mine took longer)

So there you gooooo!Super Duper Easy Peasy.

I should have used a bigger baking dish and more bread because i ended up with extra custard. My mum heated it on the stove and turned into a sauce.

Gardeniaaa!
Cut them into cute shapes (not that it matters anyways)
Beat the eggs baby.Beat them.

Beat,beat oh beat

Add the milk

Custard Done
Apparently i DID NOT butter the baking dish.hurmm
